Last night my brother called me, to see what my families plans are for the weekend. I told him not much, just the same old, same old…nothing! J

Alright, here's the cool part….he wants to take my kids on Saturday. Wow! He lives out in Power Ranch, a beautiful master planned community, and the neighborhood received a flyer…Phoenix-Gateway Open House.

For all those who do not know, Williams Air Force Base was officially closed in 1993, but remains home to the Air Force's Armstrong Laboratory Aircrew Training Research facility. This is a civilian-staffed military R & D lab that is supported by Luke AFB. There are also other businesses operating such as Boeing and several universities have branches at Williams Gateway. Also on October 15 Williams Gateway changed their name to Phoenix-Gateway. I had to add just a touch of history at this massive airport. J

Saturday – November 1, 2008

Starts at 9am – 2pm

The cool part is this open house is totally FREE! The best part is the airplanes that will be on display, there will also be airplane rides (for a fee), Radio Disney will also be there with their Kids Zone and Dale Earnhardt's car will be on display…and so much more!

What a great way to spend just a few hours! I have to say even though my brother and his wife are taking my kids…I may just have to join them. J
