I was reading an article today by the Gadberry Group that was talking about 2008's boom towns and Queen Creek topped out the list, which was surprising to me.  I've been to Queen Creek many times over the last few months and would not have dreamed that it would be considered a boom town considering that it has taken such a beating.  But, they are going by growth since 2000 and it is really amazing how much Queen Creek has grown in eight years.

The article states that in 2000 there were 4,011 households which grew to 28,439 households at the end of 2008, a 609% increase.  I found this interesting, if you would to read the entire article  and see what the other 7 cities are you can read it HERE!
